  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

Team and script worked well as of DF Patch 10.2

Jahovenaught wrote on 2019-11-03 01:44:30

Just use Nexus Whelpling Arcane Storm and Mana Surge then Frost Breath. It makes the fight go a lot quicker and I didn't even need to bring in third Dragon with using Emerald ProtoWhelp, IF your protodrake gets low use Ancient Blessing and breath will finish the second and third pets

Confirmed worked on the first try, much better than using chrominius. that one did not work at all for me. thanks

Why use Howl? It just doubles the damage of the next attack so it's the same as if you just did Bite twice.

Illinorian wrote on 2019-10-19 10:14:59

Howl increases the dmg twice for two rounds. You get the equivalent of 4 bites.

Gráinne

wrote on 2019-10-19 10:54:30

Not anymore, sadly, Though the debuff can last for two rounds, Howl is now consumed after the first hit. So MuffinManKen is right. That Howl doesn't help anymore.

This <i>can</i> fail, though I am not sure what triggered it. Leonard used Sweep the turn I had queued Surge of Power, which obviously kept him alive and made me restart the fight. The very next attempt everything worked fine.

Strat worked well, thank you.

If I may make a suggestion, if you don't need a certain ability (in this case, the dragon's non-Breath abilities) then leave that as Wildcard. That way it makes it easier for people to see subs if they don't have a particular pet.

I have edited the strategy to use wildcards.

JestersTear

wrote on 2018-12-15 21:01:49

Make sure Leonard is within range of Surge before using. Chrominus can die immediately after, your 2 Breath pets are more than capable of destroying the last 2.

misskuma wrote on 2018-12-15 17:43:26

This strategy works perfectly, but just to let those know who might not, you need to use bite until Chrominius is below half health, then surge of power.
