If a cockroach comes in I'd suggest switching to one of the Shale Hatchlings. Since he casts Apocalypse followed by Shell Shield, you have a round to get your hatchling in, a round to get Stoneskin up, and then just Poison Spit from that point on.

Had two cockroaches as backline pets and soloed it with ruby sapling, the roaches would spam stampede and i would spam iron bark taking no dmg.

I found that by using Ironbark in between thorns and photosynthesis, it kept the damage taken pretty low. Soloed first time, and only didn't the second due to some lucky crits by the enemy team.

I think what he means is using a starting order of Thorns>Ironbark>Photosynthesis to start rather than Thorns>Photosynthesis>Ironbark (repeated) and then following the priority as normal.

This certainly helps the opener by reducing the damage from 2nd multi-hit attack and might help when the ruby sapling isn't slower to keep the ironbark buff up more of the time (rather than having to click 2 maintenance buffs on consecutive turns and causing it to fall off.

I could be wrong though :) Great strat!
