Strategy has been updated for SLs changes.

Changes Made:

1. Gulp Froglet replaced with the Archetype of Serenity to make use of First Croak + Swarm.
2. Left Shark replaced with Crimson Swoglet so we'll have Dazzling Dance and Frost Breath, which does strong damage against CBoA.
3. Gahz'rooki has remained the same, and for the same purpose.

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.

Strategy didn't work for me (B/B Gulp Froglet, B/B Left Shark, P/S Ghaz'rooki). Ghaz always dies 1-2 turns too early.

Lobombre wrote on 2019-09-21 00:47:04

Fast fight! Coastal Scuttler pass, Hydraling call lightning, shell shield, Chitterspine Skittering Black Claw then swarm.

RogueRaccoon wrote on 2019-10-01 11:52:19

Genius, was about to give up on these strategies since i never had all the pets. Note to self, remember to check the comments for strategies before leveling all kind of different pets.

VERY nice strat, Lobombre! Worth keeping!

I have formalised it here:
https://wow-petguide.com/?Strategy=6870

In my first try, it didn't work, because my Scuttler was H/H, and had more health than the Skitterling even after taking the first damage, and so was swapped in again, but really that first pet doesn't do anything but take the hit, so I suggest that you can use anything, as long as it will be lower health than the Skitterling after the hit. Those fights without gulp froglet are pretty complicated, I managed to beat it with this combination:

Aqua strider (fast breed) 2, x,2
Hydraling 2,1,2
Coralback fiddler (fast breed) 1,2,1

Aqua strider;
Poison Spit
Hydraling comes in;
Call lighting
Shell Armor
Coralback comes in;
Rip
Shell Shield
Dive
Ripx2-3
Coralback dies, Aqua strider comes in:
Poison Spit
Pump
Pump
Aqua strider dies, Hydraling comes in:
Call lighting
Tail Slap

railgun wrote on 2018-01-28 09:26:50

Worked for me. Thanks!

nit: hydraling is 2,1,1, not 2,1,2

Theaxx

wrote on 2019-08-18 13:50:52

Railgun is correct on the Hydraling. Perfect strategy otherwise!

MisterMax wrote on 2018-03-04 17:32:54

This doesn't work at all for me. On Rd 2 he hits my left shark for 1192, and on Rd 3 he kills my shark with slicing wind before he gets off dazzling dance. I tried it several times - has this strategy been nerfed?

aelfraed wrote on 2019-06-18 03:59:13

I JYST DID TODAY WORKED FINE

Moara

wrote on 2019-04-27 14:14:38

With BfA Pets, you can replace Gulp Froglet with either Coastal Scuttler (mine was H/H) *1* or Elusive Skimmer (*2*). I just tried this with a P/S Elusive Skimmer, and my Gahz'rooki still had more health than it did, so the Skimmer might not be viable, but at least the H/H Scuttler worked!

Glad to help with my AQU strategy! - 3ceph0los

Poopher wrote on 2017-11-05 01:21:53

Here a strat that works
Gulp Frog x.x.2
Leviathan Hatchling x.2.2
Gahz'rooki 1.1.2

Pass, LH get thrown in, Poison Spit, Primal Cry, Poison Spit, Gahz thrown in. Geyser,
Health lower than GF? , yes, Switch to LH. Cry again, GF comes in and swarm, Gah comes in and bite the hell out of the dam thing.

Munch wrote on 2017-11-07 01:53:54

This is brillant!
Slight amendment, it should be Gulp Frog x x 1

ChakalT

wrote on 2018-01-10 11:01:56

great! worked like a charm. just note that Gulp Frog is (x,x,2)

Amyrantha

wrote on 2018-08-06 05:04:30

This should be an official strat! worked perfectly fine after i realised i needed swarm and not corpse explosion ;)

courtney wrote on 2018-11-16 21:01:18

Gulp Froglet's swarm is in slot 1 now 8.0.0

Chilela wrote on 2018-09-10 18:57:00

I found a new combo that seems to work:
Elusive Skimmer (1,2,1) (must have 292+ speed)
Snarly (1,1,2)
Gahz'rooki (1,1,2)

Elusive Skimmer comes out
Stampede
Snarly comes in
Rip
Blood in the Water
Surge
Gahz'rooki comes in
Geyser
Swap to Elusive Skimmer
Stampede
Gahz'rooki comes in
Bite

Hermy

Also needed 2x Bite at the End, but other than that it worked perfectly.

Askania

wrote on 2018-01-05 11:19:02

My Ghazrooki was swapped in before shark so instead of the second pass round I just switched to shark and followed strat as writen after that, but like others took a second bite but at least he died without any rng

Nazz wrote on 2017-12-24 07:03:58

Excellent strat. Worked as written for me, except needing a second bite at the very end. Thanks!

abi wrote on 2017-11-05 03:01:27

Chrisski wrote on 2017-10-07 07:02:09

I too didn't see any way for this to work yet it was simple (though I used water jet instead of pass on turn 2).

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-30 06:54:01

Tranmere Fan wrote on 2017-09-29 06:07:23

This worked perfectly for me. Thank you for sharing!

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-24 02:51:28

How the heck is this one supposed to work? Swarm hits for like 0 damage that one life siphon and its all healed, gyser stuns once, all the swaps and passes, he ends up with over 700 health left when he hits my Ghazrooki with a second gate, killing it. Theres no way.

Lisma wrote on 2017-09-23 14:11:59

Works fine. Thanks :)
