Substitutes:

1
Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

2. Updated script. I've added a section for the Shiverweb Broodling as the third pet, or you can slot another Dragonhawk. with similar abilities

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.

It worked perfectly as of DF 10.2.5! Only used 1st pet, 11 rounds, 2:06s

Does not work as of 10.0.7;
I Used HP Glutted Bleeder, SS Golden Dragonhawk Hatchling and used the script. (edited)

There are several people who investigate reports of problems with strategies on Xu-Fu's. There are designated Strategy Curators, and other regulars who read comments and are interested in the latest.

In my experience, when people leave a short "It didn't work" note, they usually made a mistake. Maybe they used a pet with the wrong Speed, maybe they didn't do a Pass where it was indicated, sometimes they were even using the team and strat from a completely different battle. :)

Sometimes there genuinely is a problem with the strat. This is where the Curators and others come in, checking the strat for weaknesses, and fixing it or removing it if it can't be fixed.

Since most failure reports with no details are wrong, it's not good to waste people's time investigating them. Instead, help them by providing the information they need.

If the strat failed for you, and you want your comment to be taken seriously:

1. Specify EXACTLY which species and breeds you used.

2. Specify whether you read the strategy from the site and executed it manually, or downloaded and used the tdScript.

3. Specify EXACTLY where the first unexpected thing happened, the first thing that deviated from what the strat predicts. What died too early? What didn't die when it was supposed to? What attack missed?

4. If possible, provide a log. You can see your log in the Pet Battle tab of your chat box. You can pull that out, make it bigger, screenshot it. Better still, you can use the addon Battle Pet Log Keeper from Curseforge, and do /pblk and Save Battle when the battle you want to log is complete.

Still good in Dragon Flight

Kherae wrote on 2021-01-30 07:37:37

just "solo'd" it with a moonshell crab (p/p). shell shield > renewing mists > water jet, up until you get chickenbot to 345 hp, then you prioritize water jet, vs chicken. an emperor crab would likely work just as well, using surge instead of water jet.

Worked great with Shadowlands! My P/P Bleeder was able to solo the encounter, dying at the same time as the final enemy. (Little sad listening to its pitiful squeaks with every bit of damage it takes though, aww lol)

PhD wrote on 2020-10-22 23:12:58

Bleeder and Gold DH didn't make it - both backline pets mech - poor 3rd choice by me

Solo'd the 2nd try with Leviathan Hatchling on all pets - no need for 2nd or 3rd

I didn't have the glutted bleeder, so I searched for whatever I had with Toxic Skin. I had a Boghopper from Nazmir instead, and I gave that a try. The opponent had two mechs as backup, and with Toxic Skin, Frog Kiss (landing one polymorph) and Creeping Ooze, the frog almost solo'd the entire battle, leaving just one last turn for another pet.

TC wrote on 2020-07-12 07:42:13

Most these fights I used a little ragnaros and the puppy that burrows puppies with flames. And something that stampedes for extra damage. 2 of these stages the puppy nearly solos everything. Last boss I used a low life pet with stampede to die and bring in lightning shield. Unborne call is good too. Doom then sac. Bring in a stampede pet and works well for many fights.

Soapy wrote on 2019-11-02 08:52:07

I used the script for this, and it failed miserably. My last level 25 pet had to take the last bit of health from the second pet and of course couldn't solo the last enemy pet because it's a random trash pet. It's the most upvoted though :/

Had this fail miserably for me. Gutted Bleeder was working out great, dead by opponent's 2nd pet. Golden Dragonhawk couldn't beat it, 3rd random pet chosen was beast type.

Lol, I was able to do this with a grey 23 glutted bleeder. Though later I found you can also use Dream Whelpling which does pretty good as well.
