Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.

3rd pet can be replaced by Irongrasp (I used P/P breed), 1/2/*. Mar'cuus died after applying black claw and using metal fist. Never needed turn 8+.

Worked great in SL pp! Bigglesworth didn't even have to do anything - just got swapped in and watched Mar'cuus slowly die to all the dots.

Another variation of UV + Squirrel:

Ghostly Skull x/x/2 (or second UV with Unholy Ascension)
Unborn Val'kyr x/2/1
Blighted Squirrel 2/x/2 (can be Infected Squirrel 2/2/2 if your Val'kyr is H/H)

1. Pass – your Unborn Val'kyr is forced in
2. Swap back to Ghostly Skull
3. Unholy Ascension
4. Pass – your Unborn Val'kyr is forced in
5. Curse of Doom
6. Haunt
7. Woodchipper (or Creeping Fungus)
8+. Stampede

Hyacai wrote on 2018-05-29 15:25:48

Nice strat. I was worrying over not having the boneshard and this made it easy. Was questioning how it worked until everything hit. Was like "And there is goes." Thanks!

Eekwibble

wrote on 2018-05-30 09:54:30

If using a 2nd UbV in slot 1, it has to be H/H breed. The B/B has 244sp and when Mar'cuus uses Prowl, its sp drops to 243 making Unholy Ascension go first and messing up the strat.
All 3 breeds of Ghostly Skull are fine, however.

Priessa

wrote on 2019-12-02 03:51:36

I didn't have ghostly skull, so I kept Mr. Bigglesworth and I substituted Infected Squirrel for Blighted. Worked the first time like a charm and curse of doom didn't even go off

Geo#22440

Managed to win this on 1st try with Infected Squirrel as 3rd pet even if my UV was B/B breed.

Hannah wrote on 2017-09-07 23:42:25

I used same strat as above but substituted Senjin for Blighted Squirrel using Woodchipper and Stampede. Worked great, didn't even have to use Ice Barrier on Biggle's, just Claw x2 ftw.

Castratia wrote on 2017-09-08 21:29:24

Used this because I don't have a Sen'jin Fetish. Only have one Blighted Squirrel, which has more HP than my Boneshard, so I had to put it in the first position in order to be damaged. Gave up the fight, switched Mr. Bigglesworth back to first position, and carried on as you suggest from there. Worked like a charm. Thanx.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-20 02:12:55

Blighted squirrel, blue lvl 23 (dont recall breed), less health than boneshard, with creeping fungus and stampede worked wonders here.

Kwantum

wrote on 2017-11-07 02:50:17

Yep this works well. Woodchipper and stampede in that order as the replacement for Sen'jin.

Shaelai wrote on 2017-09-09 00:15:28

From AeroKargath on wowhead:

Sen'jin Fetish (Destruction) X/2/2
Blighted Squirrel (P/S) X/X/2 (I imagine any undead with stampede would work just fine)
Unborn Val'kyr (Guardian) X/2/2

1-Sen'jin gets swapped out to Unborn
2-CoDoom
3-Unholy Ascenion
Swap in Squirrel
4-Squirrel swapped to Sen'jin
5-Wild Magic
6-Rot
7-Sen'jin swapped to squirrel (Sen'jin dies)
8-Stampede
9-Stampede (Mar'cuus dies)
